Losing weight while working overnight

Anyone work the overnight shift and lose weight?

It seems everyone at my job gained 20-30 lb their first 2 months of working the 7 pm - 7 am shift, mainly from snacking to stay awake. I can't let that happen.

Any tips of living healthy with a 3rd shift schedule?

Your meals should be structured during the time you are awake ... take the total number of hours you are up and divide it up for breakfast lunch dinner

You can intermittently fast and structure it around your awake hours

When I worked the night shift I brought fresh fruit to eat while on shift and brought a lean cuisine just in case I got hungry. I made sure to budget them into my calories. Also I made a rule to never eat anything at work I did not bring in myself. My work place is high stress, so pastries, cookies, and candy are always floating around. To avoid co-workers pressuring me to eat with them, I will take on thing, wrap it in a napkin, then take it home either to give it away or throw it away.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be in a vehicle so I don't have to worry too much about peer pressure (besides my partner) but also won't have access to a microwave or fridge. It's a blessing and a curse I guess

Since you're on the road, bringing your own food in a thermos bag will be your saving grace, since fast food joints are everywhere, and a lot of them stay open all night. ;)

Freeze a bottle of water to help keep your food fresh. Then as it melts, you'll have ice cold water to drink, too. :)
