Why does it say I will gain weight if I am below my macros for the day?

I am confused as to why when my goal is set as fat loss, after I complete my daily food entries, MFP says if every day was like today I would gain weight in 5 weeks - when I have not yet met my macro requirements for any given day? I do not understand this! Please help!

Have you exceeded your calorie allotment?
The predictions are normally wrong so I wouldn't worry too much about it.4 -
What about your calories? Macros aren't going to determine weight loss/gain. That comes from calories.8

Yeah, calories first, macros second.2

Check to make sure your gender, height, age, and current weight are correct in your Profile settings. That is normally the issue when the projection acts like that.0

How could you be below your macros and over your calories. That literally doesn't add up.2

It probably means you've entered things in your diary that have incomplete macro information.8

The food database is almost all user-contributed and many of the entries have errors - ranging from small to ridiculously large errors. If you use entries without double-checking them, it's entirely possible for your calories and macros to not match up.2 -

I should have thought of that. Thanks.0 -

What day are you talking about? I looked at your diary and you weren't over your calories any day this week.0 -

I looked at all three days.
OP, your goal for Sunday was 250 Cals higher than Monday and Tuesday. That means you updated your Goals on Monday to increase the weekly weight loss goal by a half pound, which reduced your Daily goal by 250 Cals from Monday going forward. Did you happen to be looking back in your Diary on Sunday and click Complete This Entry? If so, the projection when closing a previous day (such as Sunday) on today, will run the projection against today's Goal, so the higher Cals logged on Sunday, projected against the lower Goal today, would result in a projected weight gain.0 -

No, the goal doesn't affect projected weight loss or gain. Only the amount of calories logged, and the maintenence calories, can affect that. The only way you could change the projection would be to change your maintenance calculation, and the only way to do that would be to change your recorded height, weight or activity level.
OP, if you consistently logged calories that are higher than maintenance, it will predict a gain. If your calories were under maintenance, it should predict a loss. If it doesn't, it's glitching.0 -
Not all foods loaded in myfitnesspal have the macros filled in, so be careful of that.0
-
OP, are you using an MFP goal or setting your own based on a TDEE calculator or some other method?0

What about your calorie total? If you use quick add, then your macros won't be correct. And for some user entered items in the database, macros are not entered.I am confused as to why when my goal is set as fat loss, after I complete my daily food entries, MFP says if every day was like today I would gain weight in 5 weeks - when I have not yet met my macro requirements for any given day? I glanced over your food log. It shows you're at/under your goal typically. Perhaps check your settings to make sure you are set up for a deficit. If you are, and you're getting a 'gain' 5 week message, it would be a fluke I think.0
