Sugar Substitutes

I have seen quiet a few negative comments about sugar substitutes. Just wondering...are they all bad? Is one a better alternative than another? Is real sugar better for you? All of the low calorie drinks that I have found contain some form of artificial sweetener.

Depends on your diet and preference for sure. I use Swerve (naturally derived but still considered artificial) because I want to cut sugar out of my diet as much as possible and want to not have glycemic spikes from sugars. Some people want to cut out processed foods so they avoid artificial sweeteners and stick to things like honey, agave and maple syrups, etc.0
