I just got home from shopping and I went ahead and bought another scale that went up to 350 pounds. I took it out of the box, put the batteries in it, turned it on, and stepped on it while I held my breath. It came up with 345 pounds! I have lost 7 pounds since Jan 30th. I am so excited that I called everyone that I knew. lol I am so happy. I guess not drinking soda, cutting the calories, and taking those pills really helped! I am almost at my goal for this month. I only set it up for 8 pounds and I still have 3 weeks to go. Yessssssssss it can be done.....I finally feel like I am doing something. lol:flowerforyou:

Beside going to Curves, and eating a 1700 calorie diet, I am taking a water pill for the fluid build up from not having my period, and I bought Slimquick with Hoodia.0

Becareful of the pills you take. They can really mess up your body. I'm guessing the majority of your success is from you, not from the pills. you've changed your lifestyle. I think you need to take credit for your success. I remember seeing something about Hoodia a year or more ago. Something about it not being real? If it were it'd be way more expensive than it is.0

I know. I am noticing some people are only concentrating on 'what pills?" and I just hope we all know that all of our bodies are different. I take pain killers for my daily pain and those pills are said to have weight gain and water retention.
Please do not take diet pills, they are dangerous to your body...your liver, your lungs, your everything.
You can lose weight by being logical and that is why we are all here for each other. I did the diet pill thing a long time ago and I ended up starving myself. it was scary.
Shanel....wtg honey. You are doing amazing. 7 lbs!! Hoooray.0 -
OK, first let me say thank you for the comments. I dont look at the pills as the only reason I lost weight. I know that by not drinking soda every 5 minutes like I was before and not caring about what I ate and eating a 1700 calorie diet is the main reason I lost the 7 pounds. Alot has to do with not having a period for over 2 years and the fluid is unreal if you chose to believe it our not. I am an EMT and I know all about how people get paid to say all sorta things for TV and pretend doctors and the whole bit. Like that one that say we couldn't say it on TV if it weren't true...well that is a load of bull. People get on TV all the time and say whatever they want. I did all the research on the Slimquick with Hoodia. The reason I chose this one is because it also has some (not much but some) Vitamin's, it is designed for women, and it helps with my mood changes. I also have a thyroid problem caused by weight gain. I am always edgy and would have bitten a head off for not doing something small. This past week my husband has even noticed I am alot calmer than I normally am. I am not saying I will take the pills forever it is a starting point, a tool if you will to help shed the pounds safely. I talked to my doctor about all the things I am doing and what I am planning to do and he has agreed that my plans are a reachable goal and the way I am going about it is medically alright with him. I would suggest anyone wanting to take pills to talk to their doctor about it first. :flowerforyou:0

I agree that sometimes adding some diet supplements like slimquick to assist with this new healthy lifestyle can really help some people. They are not magic pills and are not intended to be taken long term, most of us know that. I also take slimquick, and am doing so to help me take the edge off while starting my new diet, I know I can't rely on it for many months, but it helps me in the short term, which is what I need right now. I don't think that we should overload our bodies with pills and drugs, HOWEVER sometimes we do need a boost, whether it be perscription or otc and dr recommended, and yes, do talk to your doctor first.
And Good for you to make healthy changes, cutting out pop and exercising at curves, part of the reason for these lifestlye changes is the awesome weight loss, but it's so much more than that, it's for good body, mind, and soul health too! Good job, keep it up!0 -
7 lbs, that's terrific!!!!! You are doing wonderful, and discussing your methods with your Dr. was very smart of you! I'm glad it's helping your moods, these little things can sure make a difference in our overall well being!!! Keep up the good work!!!0
