For any feed back you have to give your stats. Weight, height, gender, weight loss goal, weekly weight loss goal. Previous workout experience, fitness level, etc etc.

Run 10kand lift double your body weight may not work for you, but it may for others. Try walking for 10 min and do reps with cans of soup is great for some, but maybe not for you

We need information and context to give you appropriate feed back.

    Cheers, h.

I am 6'2 260 40 years old. Pretty good cardiovascularlly. I like the elliptical machine. It does well to help shed the weight for me. Every year I lose 50 lbs. up until the summer months get bored of my routine and stop going until I become uncomfortable then I head back. Just need some alternatives to weight training. I tend to use the free weights as I have seen the best results. Just looking for alternate routines to switch things up.

I run and use the Nike training app... customize to your preferences, equipment, goals... it's awesome!

Here's a pretty comprehensive list of routines from beginner to advanced: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1
