Join me?? :)

Hiya, I too want need to lose a stone to reach a healthy weight. I am 5'1", weigh 65kg (or 10 stone 3) and so my target weight is similar to yours. Although I'm overweight I find it very difficult to shed even a measly pound, and I think it's because I haven't been truly honest about how much I am eating and drinking... so I'm back on MFP!

Good luck in your goals, I'm sure you'll smash them!

We're weird; we use metric for general measuring (cm/m instead of ft/inches) unless we're talking someone's height (we generally use ft/inches for that). We weigh food, etc. in milligrams/grams/kilograms but ourselves in stone. We also use miles instead of kilometres. We just don't make any sense essentially!

I also use Centigrade in winter and Fahrenheit in summer.

Would also run a metric 5K but cycle 50 miles......

I mix and match units depending on what result I want so:
2oz isn't much but 56g sounds like I have more
1kg weight loss doesn't sound like much 2.2lbs sounds better
3.1miles sounds shorter than 5k so wont be as hard
Very childish I know as they are the same but in 18months I have lost 97lbs, which is obviously bigger than a measly 44kg both of which are definitely beaten by 6stone 13lbs.

I am 5ft 4 and am 10stone 10pounds and I am desperately wanting to lose a stone to start with. I am logging everything and doing spinning once a week and trying to do my 10,000 steps a day
