Treadmill or Elliptical Trainer

Which is better to burn more calories? I feel like I can last longer on an elliptical and I feel like I'm toning my legs more.

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I don't like the treadmill but I like the elliptical so that's what I use. I just find it more comfortable especially for my knees and shins. I always get shin splints whether walking/running on a treadmill or doing it outside. I much rather glide on the elliptical. You can get a heck of a workout on one too. I was doing the elliptical for 30 mins, varying the resistance and burning around 400 cals or more.0

I need to work on doin it for longer. I get so bored of doing cardio, but I know this is what it takes to get the weight off me.0

I love the elliptical. I feel like I get a better workout and burn more calories. I do the "variety" on a high resistance and usually burn about 800 cal in 65 mins. An hour on the treadmill KILLS my legs so I end up walking most of the time and only burning 400 cal. I know the cal arent exact but Ill take the higher number anyday.0
