Quit stalling. Put your shoes on and get going.

The best way to motivate yourself is not to sit around and contemplate, rerunning through your head exactly why you are not looking forward to going to the gym. Just get up and do it. Be ambitious, and remember your long term goals and if you are putting in the work to get there.

Also, very importantly, don't rely on motivation. Motivation comes and it goes. It is strict self discipline that will take you where you want to be. Think of motivation simply as a booster in the process of getting started but don't rely on it or you will find yourself disappointed when you realize it simply does not work

Best of luck and I am hoping you will follow through! Positive energy your way (:

I agree with Jayden...don't sit around and think about it, just do it! The longer you contemplate, the less likely you are to go. I also run the mantra through my head...I never regret it when I go, I often regret it when I don't!

Take the emotion (that's all "motivation" is) out of it and just go...make it routine...routine becomes habit. Nobody can do it for you.

to motivate myself, I look at the pics of all my muscle gains the past few years. I then say to myself, if I start getting lazy, I'll start looking like my "before" pics again. Next thing you know, it's on! lol.

Whoop!! Now keep doing that until it's just what you do. I find myself driving to the pool on the yuckiest, coldest, wettest, darkest days when a glass of wine while I fix dinner watching a favorite TV show is all I want. But there I am, in my car... "It's just what I do." Keep it up!

Maybe if you lack motivation to go to the gym, workout at home. So much easier to just get up and start!

Do you have any friends who go to the gym? Gym partners can be the absolute best motivation. Changing up your playlist, getting a cute new exercise outfit, or planning something yummy with the calories you earn might help too. Last night I had hot chocolate made from melting yoohoo chocolate and marshmallow hearts in milk and I was still on target for my calorie target because of my workout

I go to the gym a lot and like to go, but have days where I don't feel like going. So those days I tell myself that I'll just take it easy. And some days I do, but mostly I do what I always do. Just getting to the gym is half the battle.

Join some group classes. You'll meet people and they'll make you accountable.
