I've done 2 rounds (jan2016 and Sept 2016) love the program! I'm on round 3 of a whole200. For me this has been the only program that has done wonders for me.

Yup. I am normally against diets that cut out entire food groups and villify food, however, my other half wanted to try it. Since he has gone along with many of my hairbrained schemes in the past I went along with him.

    My thoughts -
I enjoyed the food. I used a lot of recipes from the book and the web. I still use a lot of the recipe.
My diet quality improved. I always lacked vegetables and if you follow the plan, you will eat a lot of veggies.
I still frame my meals the same way, protein, a fat, veggies, but I don't cut out the grains etc. anymore.
I lost weight. Mostly because I cut out a lot of the food I tend to overeat, plus I wasn't drinking alcohol. I tend to have a drink or two then eat too much.

The downside was you always have to be prepared. It is hard to do a last minute meal quickly and stay within the rule. I did a lot of spinach as a side or eggs. Or eggs and spinach. It was expensive too.
While I didn't crave a ton of food and I didn't miss a lot, it is not sustainable for me for the reason noted above and I can give up certain foods for a month or so but I don't want to never eat them again.

I still don't agree with diets that totally eliminate entire food groups (unless it is medically necessary), at least on this one the rest of the food you eat is pretty healthy. You can still get everything you need from this diet even with the restrictions. I did struggle to get enough carbs because I was active but it can be done.
