Any recipes for a simple satay sauce?
Just eaten in a restaurant and has the nicest satay sauce with chilli...it's all I can think about now

I cook this a lot, when I'm in need of a treat. It's probably not the most low calorie dish in the world but delicious anyway. My way's really simple - fry finely chopped onions, garlic and a red chilli until soft, add two or three heaped tablespoons of peanut butter (crunchy is the best), melt it down and add a few splashes of soy sauce and milk of any kind to it (we've used almond and coconut as well as cow's). Throw in a bit of sweet chilli sauce too, if you want that extra bit of sweetness. I know I'm a bit vague on quantities here but it's a case of just experimenting until you've found a consistency you like.0
