Stitch / Pain in shoulder

I've only been on three runs, but have noticed that after a while I get the expected stitch on my right side of my abdomen. But I also have developed a similar pain in my right shoulder, radiating from the top and down the shoulder blade.

Just curious if this is also just some lactic acid build up, or something else?

I used to coach middle school cross country, and this was extremely common among kids --- the school athletic trainer told me it was displaced pain from a side stitch.

Ahhh that makes sense as it is the same side. How un-usual, appreciate the info. It does recover very quickly, I was curious if it was something more worrying.

i'd rather eat nuclear waste than run, but from various weightlifting adventures i've realised that pec minor can refer straight 'through' the ribcage and show up to my senses in/under the same shoulderblade. since pec minor connects upper ribs to collarbone, it's heavily implicated in breathing, especially 'chest' type breathing. and since the collarbone also connects with the shoulderblade . . . pec minor release stuff might be worth googgling to see if it prevents recurrence.

I did :) I shall have a look. It does happen when I am breathing heavily out of my back end from running :D
