plastic surgery

I am wondering about myself having a breast lift. I would love a tummy tuck also due to my tummy not like before kids but the brest lift is what I want to look into. Should I be a small size like 120 or can I do this at 160? Should I wait and maintain my weight? I would love input on ppl who have done it or want to do this, what are you waiting for or how you feel about this. I am by far not rich and this is a big choice or should I just forget it. what is your thoughts? thanks

Personally I won't do any plastic surgery (would love a tummy tuck and breast lift too) until I maintain my weight loss for at least six months. Preferably a year. I'm not sure what the surgeon would say, this is just me talking, but I would love to have it done (two c-sections make an ugly tummy) hopefully next year or the winter after!
Good luck if you decide to go for it... and make sure you research your surgeon and hospital thouroughly before scheduling!!!0 -
This is something that is on my list as well.
The best thing is to reach maintenance and be there for a year to two before doing it (so many people "relapse" in that time on weight). There is a weight which the doctor(s) may recommend you be at before considering it too, most overweight people have to lose to be safe for surgery, but you might already be close enough for that.
You might be surprised how much your boobs change losing 40lbs too so it's important to wait to see what size they end up, some women lose A LOT of boobage and others hardly any.
It IS expensive to have done, plus time off of work, and the fact you can't lift anything for a very long time etc.
My personal goal is to have it done when I can afford to have 4-5 weeks off of work (nursing student now so I'll be an RN and need the time off) so it will likely be in 5 or 6 years from now.0 -
We watch "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" and they get your excess skin removed if you are a certain weight in 9 months. Every episode that the contestant has surgery we get into a conversation about why they didn't wait longer. I've promised myself that when I get close to my goal that I'm going to have a breast reduction and hopefully my excess skin removed, but I made a promise to myself that I have to keep the weight off for 6 months before I go see a doctor. I think that you have to be confortable with your choice and feel like it is the right decision for you and your family.0
