I'm down another 2 pounds! I've lost 24 lbs. in 75 days, including making it through the holidays. I'm not done yet - the doctor wants me down another 26 pounds but to be honest, I'd like to be down even more- like 20 more than what he wants. I've been married for 30 years and it would be great to get back to (or better still below) the weight I was at when I got married. Hang in there with me!

    Good for you! Holiday time is the hardest for me. How do you stay motivated?

    I'm really motivated because I need a hip replacement and the doc won't do the surgery at my current weight. I also really was tired of feeling like food was the center of my life - especially carbs. You know, pretzels, bread, pasta, ice cream, cookies. I really never was taught very good impulse control or how to limit myself. I also noticed that I didn't just eat when I was upset or happy but when I was bored. Making myself mindful of those things and knowing that I didn't like how the weight makes me feel. I decided that it was time to put me first.
