I just started using MFP last week and I have seen a few different abbreviations in some of the posts. The main one that I keep seeeing is NSV can someone tell me what this means? And it would be helpful if you could let me know if there are any more common used ones and what they mean! Thanks so much!!

    wtg - way to go

I'm slow - it actually took me a while to decipher that one.... or maybe I'm just old.

    BMR - basal metabolic rate
    RMR - resting metabolic rate
    BF% - body fat %

That's all I can come up with for now

NSV= Non Scale Victory.....Example: I had one last week. Last year I wanted to take my son on a ride on the boardwalk I got on with him and then had to leave the ride because the safety bar would not close over my stomach. This year it was the first ride we went on and I had plenty of room to spare. That was a very important NSV for me!!! Hope to hear some NSV of yours....Keep up the good work!!

Another popular one is HRM= Heart Rate Monitor

also if you see someone say 40/30/30, that's the ratio for carbs, fat and protein.
