Anyone using this app. I bought this app and I think it's great but most of my friends use the Nike run app. Which running apps do you use and if anyone wants to add me for motivation which I need for myself also cause I don't really want to use the Nike run app cause it's alright... Rather use my runtasitic

Personally I found Runtastic to be buggy and power hungry. When it started to kill my phone in less than 90 minutes I ditched it.

Strava, endomondo and runkeeper were all better for me. Now I use a Garmin

Garmin watch, syncs to Strava (good for group stuff) and Endomondo (good for training programs and PR plots). I used Endomondo for running back before I had a Garmin watch.

I gave up on apps. Too much of a PITA to use when I ran. I switched back to a Garmin Forerunner about a year ago and I am very happy I did.

When I was using apps I mosty used Endomondo (only because it sometimes worked with my Pebble watch). Others I tried included Runtastic, Runkeeper, MapMyRun, and many more. All were about the same.

I like Runkeeper. I've tried many other popular apps, but I've found Runkeeper to be the most enjoyable, and I've trained for several races of different distances using their plans. I also use RockMyRun for workout playlists.

I've used Runtastic Pro for about 5 years. I started using it only because they offered the Pro version for free (which they do once or twice every year). The Pro version is ad free except for their incessant bugging you to: (1) rate the app and (2) pay for their Premium subscription service. Because of those two things, I don't recommend the app to people anymore. However, I haven't used other apps to be able to compare it so I don't know if other apps do the same. I do like that Runtastic added shoe life tracking last year. A very handy feature. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with the program and it seems to work good for me. I guess my advice would be to try various apps and know that most small one-time prices they charge is probably insignificant when you use the app for many years.

I use MapMyRun, never have any problems with it. It's not as accurate as my Garmin, but it's pretty close, I now use it instead of my Garmin just because I always take my phone running anyway, and the Garmin takes too long to find the satellites.
