I'm confused and a little frustrated

So I had figured out when I first started counting macros I just definitely wasn't eating enough. I ate like once a day not because I purposely did so but that was just how often I was hungry. Got my macros numbers had them adjusted and now have been staying under or over on some. which has gotten better. But now my question is... I started this at the beginning of January and and i weighed 168 and I had lost like 4 pounds but now I have gone back up to 169-170... I can tell my body is changing but I'm curious as to why my weight is not really moving down. I want to be healthy and I need to lose about 30 pounds. So do I just hold out on the macros I'm on now and wait a few more weeks or should I lower them or????

The way I understand it is calories are king. If you're trying to lose set yourself at a 20-30 percent calorie deficiency. Then set your macros within the calorie limit. Then it takes time and consistency. It won't happen in a straight line. Set a realistic timeline. You will lose weight through a calorie deficiency and you exercise for fitness. That's my two cents anyway.2

Consistently is certainly the key here. You've done this for less than a month. Believe me. You're going to be having a few rounds of trial and error so do not lose hope. I would suggest utilizing the same macros, hitting them each day, and at the end of the week check to see where your numbers are at. I'd also suggest checking your body fat percentage which is another important form of measurement other than just your weight.0
