I'm doing a low carb diet and looking to lose 175 pounds I know it will take time but babysteps is the key

    Yes start slow with small changes at first so you don't get overwhelmed. Weigh and measure everything that goes in your mouth. And walk as much as you can. Good luck. You can do it!

    Check your weight once a week. Staaaaay away from that scale. You will be tempted to step on it every single day. It's a quick way to get frustrated. Track the food you eat. Even if you aren't tracking macros at the very least note your meals down on paper or your phone. Just remember this is a JOURNEY. There will be triumphs and failures. As long as you keep going, learning from your mistakes, learning more information, etc, you'll make it!
