Hello I'm new here 32 and at my highest at 205lbs wanting to lose weight the right way. It seems I have been having a tough time so far can't stay on track and being way to lazy with exercising It's so hard for me to stick with something because I want that instant gradification I know that losing weight the right way means I wont lose 30lbs in one month but the slow weight loss is hard for me to continue in a positive attitude. Maybe if I get some friends out there maybe I can stay on track.

You can add me too. I'm a 36 year old mom, and was at my highest of 215 last week. I'm nervous to be doing my first weigh in tomorrow.
Good luck to you! We can do this!

Hey you may just surprise yourself and lose 20 lbs a month. There are lots that drop 60lbs in 3 or 4 months just by eating better and exercising!

I tried an experiment with my body (yup, I'm that guy).

I got up to 230 lbs, and then I made sure that my sodium intake was under 1500 calories/day. I ended up losing 30 lbs in 6 weeks.

I got up to 230 lbs, and then I went with MFP and I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks (STILL PRETTY GOOD).

You're more than welcome to try things other than what MFP suggests, so if you don't see the results you're working hard for.. switch it up a bit.

    - Advice from a struggler (by the way, the 2nd gain was due to my laziness not so much intentional.. don't follow my example completely)
