I'm a newbie and I'm trying to see how many calories are burned just by walking downstairs 7 flights and how many per block?

Walking downstairs wont burn much more (if any) than walking around the street.... What do you mean by how many per block? How big (distance) is the block, how fast are you walking, what is your height, weight, age etc....

No idea but would assume down stairs is more or less the same as walking on a flat surface? Walking around should be accounted for in your daily activity level so I wouldn't worry about it.

Walking from one end of the hall to the other is considered a block at my job so I would walk that at a steady pace. I haven't worked out in a long time so I have to build back up to being able to do so and at a quicker pace, but thank you @ astrampe

Walking is a great place to start and will help you get fitter. Don't worry about stairs if they're a struggle atm.

@ Clarewho and @ Look_Its_Kriss I agree I think it will be better for me to just walk the halls plus it actually shows up on here so TY.
