Hi,

Recently I left a job that was very stressfull and occupied all of my time so much so that it took a toll on my family life and health fitness regimen. Since having my son 6 years ago then taking on the said job my weight has fluctuated but now it sits comfortably at 75 lbs above my goal.

A little background, prior to the weight gain I used to run daily even ran 5k's and half marathons. My goal is to lose that weight and be fit and energized enough to run again.

Nice to meet you all.

Welcome. Since you obviously have an interest in running, why not start out with a run/walk routine or even straight walking to help build up your endurance. Even being 75 lbs over your goal doesn't mean you can't start working towards your goal of running regularly again.

    Hi gdsmit1

I will, and please feel to hold me to it. I did my first bit of exercise yesterday. I used my stationery bike for a half hour. I will try a walk tomorrow at one of the many beautiful railtrails in my area. It will be a good opportunity to tire out my 5 year old as well..lol.. He will ride his bike.

Hi, I am Sonia. I have been trying to lose weight for a long time. Keep falling off the band wagon. Running is something I have always wanted to be able to do but find ti so challenging. I have not been able to run for more than a minute. I am trying to lose 65lbs myself.
