HRM advice

I'm going to go purchase a HRM tomorrow at some point, but I'm still trying to decide what kind to get. I know I need one with a chest strap and I'm not huge on booting up my computer to download a bunch of data. I'm simply interested in one that I can wear during my workout, take it off, and have it tell me how many calories I burned. Nice and simple. What kind of HRMs are you guys using and do they seem to fit what I'm looking for?

My Polar has a chest strap and watch - it DOES have the plug into computer function (if you buy the seperate cable) but it also has the in-watch display. It stores data indefinitely and I've been using it daily (sometimes twice daily) for about 2 months now without deleting anything.
I don't plan on using the computer bit because everything is right there on the watch!0 -
Best deal you'll find - Polar is GREAT!

I have the New Balance N4 that was highly recommended from people in here and I love it. It has the chest strap, but does not plug into the computer. It only stores 9 work outs at a time, but I only need that one.0

I'm glad to hear the new balance N4 works well. I'm really trying to save money these days and that seems to be very reasonable. I think that's what I'm going to go for. Thanks guys!0
