Hi my name is Brandi . I am 41 years old, and just now getting acquainted with MyFitnessPal as far as the community goes.

I always thought that the metabolism going down was a myth. Now I'm starting to experience the fact that it is not. Haha. But to go with it, I get to have hypothyroidism with this- which is just a joy! But, this is all the journey, so we just have to do the best that we can and smile the whole way through it. I have about 60 more pounds I want to lose, but I want to do it in 20 pound increments. My first goal is 20 pounds - that's it. I've always had a really bad habit of looking at everything through a really "big picture" mentality. That way my goals always seem to look too big, I get real dismayed, and then give up because it almost seems unattainable. But 20 pounds? I mean come on? Anybody can do that. I just need to do it 3 times! Maybe 4. :D

I need all the friends, drill sergeants, comedians and "woohoo" buddies that I can get- and I also need l all the empathetic support I can get. It is so frustrating when you have a husband that can just basically put down the Kit Kat bars for two seconds and then drop 10 pounds. Whatever! :p

So, please add me, and you will see many cheers for me- even if it's something as minor as you just logging your food diary for the day... I will be there cheering you on the whole way.

Thanks for reading this, and best of luck to everybody... we can all do this for a great 2017! Thanks! :)

Always good to have woohoo buddies! I've never really considered it until recently. But it does help a lot!
