Partially Hydrogenated Oils / Trans Fats are making you fat

Options
Just thought I would post this link because PHOs can sabotage weight loss and health.

http://www.learninggymusa.com/nutrition/partially-hydrogenated.html

Food manufacturers began using PHOs en masse in the '70s because they are cheap. People jumped on the bandwagon because of bad press about saturated fats like butter, coconut and palm oils. PHOs (like margarine, for example) were said to be healthier alternatives. Ironically, this is when America started getting so fat -- and it continues today. In reality, PHOs are much more conducive to weight gain than saturated fats.

Beware labels that read NO TRANS FATS *

It's that little asterisk that gives it away -- "per serving". If an item contains PHOs or HOs, it contains trans fats, and you should avoid it like the plague.

Don't let evil ingredients wreck all your hard work!

blessings.
