Looking for ideas on a protein powder. I'm in the process of loosing weight and enjoy protein shake either before or after a work out. What do you recomend?

My current mainstays are MyProtein's Vanilla MPC, chocolate casein, and tiramisu whey.

They're currently running a 70% off sale on a lot of their stuff right now too, according to an email I got today.

Isopure Whey Isolate, unflavored, is the only thing I use. I buy my husband the chocolate Isopure Whey.

Quest is by far the best tasting, but not without it's downsides: expense ($20/lb) & being a blend (whey & micellar protein makes it less versatile for a short lived purpose like immediately post workout but a better option as a meal replacement/night time protein). I personally don't like shakes but make protein powders into a pudding like consistency.

Other good options (more affordable): Optimum & Dymatize isolate (taste ok). Real food is always better but it's understandable when crunched for time & effort & traveling.

I use Orgain Organic Protein, I prefer this because it's plant based. Be careful with whey, I mean if you're concerned about GMOs (which I am) I would try to go plant based for all proteins. Also concerned with high concentrates of antibiotics that can be found in whey.

Hm. GMO's are nearly all plants.

You won't find any antibiotics in the whey either.

So, I have tried sooooo many and most of them either taste like crap or are full of sugar of some sort. The best one by far, especially for taste, is paleo egg protein powder julian bakery - especially the glazed donut variety!!! You will not be disappointed - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6WMBUI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i'm a plain-vanilla person and not fond of anything overly strong or sweet. been very happy with the whey isolate from canadianprotein.com. bought creatine and bcaa's from them at the same time and haven't broken into the bcaa's yet but their creatine's been fine.

Gold standard whey is the best bargain, low calorie option. If I have freedom I love the flavor of Syntha 6. I keep both around and indulge in the syntha 6 if I have a sweet tooth.

Right now I am on Premier Protein 100% Whey Protein, its great. I first bought it at a Sams Club because it was on sale and I was tired of my old protein, it had this after taste that was just nasty. So far so good, it's a bit sweet, but then that could be because I am comparing it to my old protein which I was on for years, so I don't know.

I got the vanilla-flavored Designer Whey from Trader Joe's. I mix it with plain greek yogurt and it adds a nice flavor.
