Struggling!

I'm really struggling, I had an accident 5 months ago and don't have the use of my leg from the knee down. This means I can't do 'standard' workouts. I was losing weight by diet alone but am totally losing motivation and my weight is creeping back up. What can I do to get motivated again, lose weight and exercise with only one leg?

Within you, whatever the case, is a better version of yourself. Take the time you need to realize that you are still a force to be reckoned with. Gather the courage to continue, and continue.
You can do push-ups, bench press, pull ups!
Don't let anyone doubt you or who you want to be.3 -
Diet alone is fine for weight loss, but your body will thank you if you find a way to exercise.
I do have the use of my right leg, but do have partial paralysis which makes balancing difficult. I can run and bike, but mostly I row. There's a guy at my gym with one leg -- he's much faster than me. And there are Olympians in many sports who have no legs.
Swimming and all upper body and core exercises would be excellent. You can do this! Don't assume you can't before you've tried!3 -
Hi Biggestrascal
You don't say where you're living, but in the UK there are different support groups to help you get motivated and show you what you can do, it's easy for us able-bodied to say you can do the same things as any person, but pretty much I believe it to be true!
A couple of links or 3 below might help you:

Don't think you can't do the same exercises as any other person, that's really the wrong thinking, you need to adapt quickly to your situation, find ways of over-coming your predicament (prothesis?), become a role-model for others in the same situation.
If you find it difficult to take advice, then surround yourself with people that will understand your issues and can motivate you.

Hi there
Easier said then done I'm sure but don't let your accident define you, you are strong, beautiful and in charge ! Baby steps are steps nonetheless...1
