tracking calories using both a fitbit charge hr & a garmin edge

Hi, does anyone use both these devices with myfitnesspal? I use a garmin edge for cycling which syncs to my trainingpeaks account from garmin connect and then syncs to myfitnesspal and logs my calories burned from my cycling activity. I would also start to use a fitbit for 24h tracking and to track gym activities etc. I am assuming that the fitbit would also track my cycling activity at the same time as the garmin, would that then lead to a duplicate entry into myfitnesspal for that activity? Trying to avoid getting credit twice and my daily calories burned getting screwed up, thanks.

Take the Fitbit off on the bike, it won't do anything for you there and your Edge (which one?) is the best cyclocomputer available.

Never thought of that :/ always assumed I'd be wearing it 24/7. My edge is the 510 and the calories calculated from the power meter on my bike are slightly more accurate than just using hr alone, so I guess that would solve the problem that I don't have just yet :)

Your power meter is probably more than slightly more accurate. ;-)
