Hey everyone, I'm looking for people in a similar situation who wants to lose weight to be able to be healthy, as well as so I can get pregnant. I have PCOS so I knew this would be a challenge. I'm currently doing a high protein, low carb diet. I'd love to find people in a similar situation so we can help motivate each other.

Advice would be great also, feel free to message/add me. Thanks for reading :)

The GI index diet has done wonders for women with PCOS. The infertility specialists where I live put their PCOS clients on a GI index diet. In fact I've tried it and it's very effective but I don't have PCOS.

I've never heard of that, but I'll look it up now. My Doctors only ever say to lose weight, but haven't given me advice on diet etc. Thank you very much x

Lower carb diets tend to be best for PCOS. doesnt have to be drastic. Most of the research points to 150g max per day. Exercise, especially weight training, has also been proven to help.

Hi!! I tried for 3 years to get pregnant and was always told to lose weight. I ended up losing about 87 lbs and got pregnant...finally! I understand your struggle and know how absolutely devastating PCOS is mentally and physically! Would love to be a part of your support system!

I have PCOS, and within 6 months of starting to lose weight, I ended up pregnant! I was shocked. I had an easy pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby the day after his due date.

I don't have much in the way of advice because I didn't do anything really drastic, only counting calories and a little cardio, I just wanted to let you know it's very possible. Good luck!

I have PCOS. I lost about 65 lbs not eating any particular diet, just tracking calories and keeping my protein up. I don't have the insulin resistance, fwiw. Anyway, I am currently pregnant after just one round of clomid. I don't ovulate so I needed help, but it ended up being much easier than I was thinking it would be.

Work on yourself and get healthy, then find a good reproductive specialist. A good doctor makes all the difference. Good luck!
