What are your opinions on logging jogging in place? I don't have a fitbit and I don't really know what pace I'm at. I'm at work so I can't really leave for a walk but I'm really antsy today and want to be moving.

It's good exercise., so keep doing it, pace doesn't really matter that much.

I do it when I don't feel like going outside and walking or if it's been a slow day movement-wise. Say I do this for about 10 minutes (I have a Withings step-counter). The jog burns something around 100 calories. If I jog in place for around 30 minutes, my Withings gives me a good 300-calorie burn count.

Unless you're quite heavy, that doesn't sound right. i ran a 10k outside, in 1h23' and i only got 390kcal. today. My 5k in 37' gave me less than 200kcal.I can't imagine jogging in place would burn that many calories in such a short amount of time.

I jog in place as a warm-up for jumping rope or plyometrics.
You won't get great results just jogging in place, but something beats nothing.
