For me, I need music that make me want to move; especially, if I'm poling. So a lot of Rihanna, Beyonce, Usher, some songs from the Hamilton/Hamilton Mixtape soundtracks, Calvin Harris, Janae Monae, John Legend, Lion Babe, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Sean Paul, Sia, Gnarls Barkley, Ceelo Green, etc. I need a mix of heavy high energy to mid-tempo to slow for cool downs and slower routines.

Must have songs for me are maybe Lion Babe's version of She's a Lady, Sex With Me & Kiss It Better both by Rihanna, and 6-Inch & Run the World (Girls) both by Beyonce.

I love techno for high impact cardio, as it gets me moving to the beat! As for strength training, I really enjoy rock music (both old and new stuff) and when I go for a mediating walk, I put on Christian music to help me stay focused and take time for prayer while getting my exercise in for the day.

There's an app called "FitRadio" that offers a large variety of different mixes customed for different workouts. I love it. No more fooling with creating playlists for me. You can select mixes based on varied BPMs.
