What should I use to exercise?

Hi everyone! My name is Catherine. I'm 20 years old. I need to lose about 25 pounds to be the weight I'm suppose to be for my height. I just recently started going to planet fitness to exercise. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what I should do to help me lose weight? I'm new to excising so I'm not really sure about what I should be doing.

    1st and foremost you have to eat at a deficit to lose weight. Make sure you are doing that, and then find a good strenght training program, I like Strong Lifts 5x5 for beginners, find a balance between lifting and cardio and voila, you will lose weight. Lifting is important, the more you lift, the more lean muscle you have, the more lean muscle you have the more calories you burn (even at rest). Good luck to you. :smile:

    Honestly, one of the biggest things is to not focus on the scale. As you workout you will build muscle, which weighs more than fat, take measurements every month to get a better idea of how effective your exercise is
