Hi I'm Tara... so according to my BMI I have about 110 lbs to lose. To be honest I have never weighed that little as an adult. I need some help and motivation! I would love to be able to lose the weight before I have kids... I turned 30 in August and it would be amazing to achieve my personal health goal this year of being a "normal" weight.

Hi,
First off the BMI is a good guide... sometimes. Meaning it is a very old formula that is not very science based.
Example of that is me... I'm 6'5"... my BMI says 218... or something like that. I didnt weight 218 when i got out of basic training and i was so skinny then I looked sick.... or that i was dieing from something.
So... what to do? For me it was take my bmi and add 15 lbs or 20 and start there. It worked for me?
Hope that helps1 -
It's always a good idea to set up mini goals so you don't get discouraged. But you can definitely do it! I've lost almost 93 lbs so far with another 48 or so to go. It's hard work both mentally and physically but you just have to stay focused and you can achieve anything1

Feel free to add me too. I have about 120 pounds to lose, and that is to get my about 5 pounds over what the recommendation is for my height and body frame. I figure I'll start there and decide if I want to lose more. It'll be challenging but we can do this!!1

I am right there with you! I have similar goals in mind so feel free to add me if you want. My boyfriend and I are on a similar journey as you and your husband so I wish you both luck!1

Feel free to add me. I am setting smaller goals, and taking each goal one at a time and one day at a time. If I don't I get overwhelmed with how much I need to lose and it is hard to stay motivated.0

Good luck, and feel free to add me. I've lost nearly 120lbs, or half my starting weight. You can do it!1
