Hello all,
I'm on my second week of exercise, alternating between upper & lower body workouts. I upped my weight a bit on Tuesday and am a bit sore today ( especially when I sit down & stand up- hamstrings) My question do I skip the next lower body workout or do it as best as I can, which won't be all that great.
Thanks
Sophie

See how you feel tomorrow, go for a walk and stretch today along with your upper body workout.

Take a walk, stretch, and do a lower intensity workout. You have delayed onset muscle soreness from new exercise. It's completely normal.

If you stretch and do a lower intensity workout, it will help your body better than just staying stationary.

All of the above advice is great. Foam rolling is also an awesome tool that will help with soreness over time. Here's a great article that can help you get started.

I just work through DOMS. Exercising actually helps make it go away. I don't modify my workouts.

I would agree if it's general soreness. DOMS is very common, even in experience lifters and exercising will improve that.
