Hello all,
I'm on my second week of exercise, alternating between upper & lower body workouts. I upped my weight a bit on Tuesday and am a bit sore today ( especially when I sit down & stand up- hamstrings) My question do I skip the next lower body workout or do it as best as I can, which won't be all that great.
Thanks
Sophie

See how you feel tomorrow, go for a walk and stretch today along with your upper body workout.2

Take a walk, stretch, and do a lower intensity workout. You have delayed onset muscle soreness from new exercise. It's completely normal.
If you stretch and do a lower intensity workout, it will help your body better than just staying stationary.4 -

All of the above advice is great. Foam rolling is also an awesome tool that will help with soreness over time. Here's a great article that can help you get started.

I just work through DOMS. Exercising actually helps make it go away. I don't modify my workouts.2

I would agree if it's general soreness. DOMS is very common, even in experience lifters and exercising will improve that.1
