Too much snacking late night!

Help!!
I have been recording my calorie intake and for the last two weeks and seem to be getting absolutely nowhere!!!
My problem is I eat three balanced meals but late at night, I doze off, wake up and eat a third more of my calorie intake (from the entire day) in snacks!!!
It's a vicious cycle that I can't seem to break!
I've tried to get healthy snacks but I still go overboard!
I tend to eat all those 700 cal a night in snacks!!!
I see the weight not coming off at all!
Can anybody please help me with any ideas??

    Are you an emotional eater? I know I am at night when my mind gets to over think I tend to eat like that one thing that helps me is to not keep any junk in the house another is to make sure I a lot of water before I let my self snack I drink at least 40 oz of water then only take a small portion of I want more I need to have 40 oz more water I also try to keep myself busy with something so I don't think about eating
