Help!
I got a terrible idea from a TV-programme: "loss-aversion" as diet motivation (which is a psychological theory that we hate losing things more than gaining them (e.g. losing money is much more emotional than finding the same amount) and would find it more motivating than the promises of future rewards) last year I lost a lot of weight and I am almost back to where I started - and actually the same weight as last year this time. I hate myself very strongly at the moment.
So I told a friend I want her to be judge to a forfeit: If I don't lose 7 Kilos (about 14 pounds?) in 16 weeks (I've got a friends wedding to work toward, just as a random target) I will pay for the flights for my ex to go on a holiday with my "replacement" (up until 150 Euro (which is a lot for me!))... the thought of their holiday in "our" country is already making me wince, and I'm a stingy person, generally, so it's the perfect forfeit!
So if there's anyone who wants to help me get in shape in time or also wants to try the "loss-aversion" principle with me, feel free to message me! Is there anyone wants to set their (first) target for the week of the 25th of may with me? and has a forfeit they work to avoid (btw, that's Towel Day! )

I like that idea! I have a trip coming up in May (13 weeks) and my goal is lose 14 pounds by then. If I don't, I'll buy the drinks one night.1

My sister and I have a similar goal
On Jan 2nd (the Monday after the new year) we made a deal that we would both lose 15 pounds by the time change (March 12). I've stuck with it (more or less...7 pounds lost so far) but she hasn't lost any. You can do it!1 -
oh i have something similar going on.. I was putting going to the gym off for a really long time. So now i am in a bet with a friend of mine that if i miss a day at the gym (except 2 rest days a week) I am to pay him a certain amount. I also have one going with my husband that we can go out for movies after i lose 5kgs.. and we love movies...1
