    My tried and true methods.

Cranberry juice and dandelion tea mixed in with my water.
I've also noticed i don't look 6mths pregnant after dinner if i have Activia yogurt for dessert. I still get the food baby tummy, but not as bad.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes can also help.

My first thought is fiber. How's your fiber intake? If it's considerably higher than the daily recommended amount, that could very well be the cause.

I take herbal water pills and use one of those wraps you can buy at the store. Works wonders for water retention and bloating! Also, watch your sodium intake

Cranberry and dandelion root are the ingredients in Jillian Michaels "detox" water...and they "work" because they're diuretics and in some people, have a laxative effect. When you think you're drinking something that will help you, you tend to drink more....and the water and hydration is probably what is helping most people more than the other things.

The wraps and herbal pills are bogus too. The pills are just diuretics - pee more =lose water weight. Save your money and just drink more water. And the wraps? They just displace your water to other areas of your body so you feel less bloated in the stomach area.

    Drink water, watch sodium.

Not bogus. They may not work for everyone, but they work for me!

Drink more water. Your body retains water when it needs it (people stop peeing when they are severely dehydrated) and when you consume a lot of sodium. When you drink more water despite it sounding counterintuitive, you're body will realize it's getting more and let go of the retention. It'll feel like your peeing a lot more temporarily but once your well hydrated again it will slow down back to normal bathroom visits. Diuretics work temporarily but you'll probably bloat again because pulling water out of your body without replacing it will cause rebound retention, at least it does for me when I'm menstrual bloated.

That aside if it's not diet related, or time of the month bloat could be worth getting checked by a doctor. Sometimes serious bloating can be sign of other conditions.

If by "work for you" you mean they give the illusion of reducing fat by moving water around your body and making you pee, then yes, I agree.

I find that magnesium supplements prevent bloating significantly. If I am bloated though, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp vinegar in a small glass of warm water works for me.

Drinking that would ensure I'd vomit it straight back up again. I've had both acv and baking soda separately, and will never put myself through that again :confounded:

Kudos to you for being able to stomach it  :+1:
