Hey guys and gals,
my name is Niamh, 28 and I live in Ireland. I am quite new here and would like to meet some like-minded people with similar goals. My goal is to lose 20kg (~44lbs /~3st) this year and become healthy and fit through my diet and working out in the gym. I am only 5"1 (~156cm) and started my journey last week with a weight of 76,4kg (~168lbs).

It would be great to meet some friends here to motivate each other and share our experiences and knowledge. Feel free to add me as a friend :)

Hi, I just started recently as well and just introduced myself to the community. I hope to make some weight losing friends, haha. However, I think it is important to have, besides your main goal, smaller goals that have a short deadline. I always set monthly goals for myself.

This february I have 3 goals: track everything using MFP and my Polar V800, Lose 1 kg at the end of February (kinda did that by now so probably won't consider that kilogram) and start exercising (minimum of 3 times a week). These goals are set to be very feasible so by the end of February, I have something to feel proud of which will in turn motivate me to continue the next month as well. I think that feeling is important to have every so often so I came up with this idea. Hope it helps you!

Thanks for your nice messages :)

@nkweymiens : Thank you as well! I also have have short-term goals of course. My main goal for February is to stick with going to the gym 3 times a week. My boyfriend and I signed up on Jan 24th and so far it's going really well, so I want to keep that motivation up.
