Medical Laboratory Technologist. Not strictly night shifts but definitely a ton of them. Random question... How do y'all structure your meals around a night shift? I can't eat very much during my break at 3am so I'm struggling a bit to eat my caloric needs.

Yes, fellow night shifters!! I work nights at a group home for youth. Would LOVE accountability & encouragement partners who also work nights! :)

5'9", 160 or so lbs - looking to lose 30 lbs (which is what I've gained since I started working nights in August)

Night shift (and day shift too..I often work doubles :( ) nurse for medically fragile, tube fed infants and toddlers.
By day I split my time between being a nurse at our hospitals outpatient Ambulatory Care department and a nurse at a Family Health Team :)

FedEx team lead hub employee. I have started dieting since Jan 7th with lots of working out ( I run 30 minutes on the treadmill and do weights for around 15 - 20 minutes avg and afterwards I do a special group fitness session which is different every day whether it's Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, or the like ) I have lost 5 pounds since and have a goal of losing 50 even though I do not like setting a number I wish to have a well toned body. My question is the same as the woman above, what do you guys do about meals to prevent overnight snacking?

Honestly what I do now is that I bring my dinner to work and eat it there ( it's usually around 8pm when I arrive, and when I start craving crazy things that are not in my diet plan like fried foods, I drink tea that stops it altogether. If I MUST eat something I have my pack of almonds dried cranberries and a few small blocks of sharp cheese. By the time work is over and I return home I'm much too tired from busting my butt at work that I go straight to sleep ( This is usually around 4 or 5 am when I return home on average ).

Crisis counselor. I don't work overnight (though some of my colleagues do), but rather early night - I finish at midnight. Plus, I have another PT job, which I do before this one.

Acute Ortho Trauma RN. Nights are killing my mojo. Anybody else just want to eat carbs at 0300? Could use some help finding healthier alternatives.
