Yesterday I did Bodypump for the first time and today all my muscles are sore, especially my legs (those lunges and squats are killer). I would like to exercise today, either running outside or a pilates mat class at the gym, which works on your core.

Should I exercise even though I'm really sore from yesterday?

I was about to post the same question and then I came across your post. I took the same type of class for the first time and its mostly my thighs that are hurting a lot. Its painful to get up:cry: ! I want to do some type of exercise today but I do not want to hurt myself.

I have worked out after a particularly intense workout, and for ME, it helps some of the soreness to ease up. I would just say to take it easy and listen to your body.

I've found going for a run actually helps me on days when I'm more sore from intense workouts. It keeps the muscles warm and limber. I just don't push myself hard, and keep it on the easier side.

I say absolutely. When I first started the 30DS, I was sore all over, but I pushed through it and kept going and I felt amazing. I was actually a lot less sore the next day. As long as you don't have any serious pain it's fine.

Yes. Go ahead and work out. Just warm up, before you get too intense and stretch--before and after.

You are just sore. Getting your blood flowing into the sore areas will loosen them up and help the soreness.

Like rseitz101 said, as long as you know you are just sore and not hurt, I say go for it. For me personally - it ALWAYS makes me feel better when I workout if I am sore. Good luck!
