When I eat fruit, it has a lot of natural sugar, how does MFP account for that?

Sugar is sugar. I don't believe MFP tracks added sugar vs natural sugar.

I don't think it tracks unprocessed vs. processed sugars differently.

I second @janejellyroll in that unless you have a medical need to limit your sugar, there's no real need to worry about it. I was just having this discussion with one of my girlfriends this morning - people have gotten so worked up about sugar lately that they freak out when they see how much of it is naturally occurring in fruits. This is not the type of sugar you need to avoid (unless, like I said above, you have a medical need to do so). Don't avoid eating fruits just because you're trying to limit the amount of sugar - with all of that natural, unprocessed sugar comes tons of nutrients and insoluble fiber! It's sugar that's not accompanied by fiber that you need to limit (i.e. added sugars, processed sugars such as those found in sweets, candies, etc).

    Hope that helps. Cheers!

It doesn't...sugar is sugar. MFP will account for the additional micronutrients you're getting though.

It doesn't and currently can't. Many foods contain both, ketchup for example, when the new food labels are common then you could. Except the database has to support it also. Those X millions of entries would need updated.

I get a stupid amount of sugar in summer (120g) which mainly comes from fruit and then veggies, dairy. I get half that amount in winter. I don't worry about natural sugars, even though yes, sugar is sugar no matter where it comes from, but you get many nutrients along with the sugar in fruit.

I'm sure I got a crazy amount of sugar when I was in Costa Rico and eating fruit all day long. Dropped a size in 6 weeks because of the high calorie foods I wasn't eating.
