Do you track macros every day?

I know many people who track 365 days a year no matter what
For me, it's a habit that's hard to break. I tracked on thanksgiving and Christmas
I'm curious what you guys do if you ever go over by a couple hundred calories or if you track every day of the year?
Taking the family to Disney this summer for a week and I'm already stressing about gaining weight from not working out and lifting for a week. Plus all that food!

Even when I was actively tracking, no, I didn't track all the time. I would do a quick add cals or estimate. But I HATED tracking. Now I don't track at all and it is fine (I am bulking so believe me it is pretty tricky but do-able)
I never log on vacation.. and besides walking and swimming etc.. I don't "workout" on vacation either (but that is just me). I went away for a week a few years ago, I had cut after a bulk right before.. I actually looked better towards the end of the trip!! Oh man, I don't know if it was the extra food, alcohol, or the sun, water and lack of stress.. it just agreed with me. It is only a week... unless you are constantly too full to move around (which I doubt you will be) you should be fine. When you come home, you will have maybe a fews lb and some water weight to lose, meh, it comes off in no time.
I was actually more concerned about losing strength.. but that also comes back!
Try to relax and enjoy your trip!2 -
Good deal. Well I know me and I won't stuff myself every meal, plus I hear you will be doing some walking at Disney so should hit 15-20k steps per day. Hopefully won't gain too much!0

I tend towards the extremes... so if I'm tracking, I'm tracking everything all of the time. If I'm not, I'm not tracking anything, ever, period.
Vacations can be tough. I try to not let my logging or needs get in the way of family fun and overall enjoyment of the vacation, but I try not to use it as an excuse to go nuts (which I can certainly do). I'll typically try to eat smartly (i.e. pick lower calorie options off menus and/or eat smaller portions), then log things at the end of the day when the kids are in bed and things have quieted down. Then however the numbers work out is how they work out. It is what it is.0 -

I take a week-long break from logging about every three months, which coincides with both my birthday and Christmas. Other than those, everything gets logged0

I log everything but for macros, I really only pay attention to protein and fiber. I let carbs and fats fall where they may.0
