Curious Since Reading Posts....

FumblingTowardsEcstacy
edited September 30 in Chit-Chat
I'm new, but I've noticed quite a few posts on here about attractions and crushes. I also just read a really sweet post about a guy who has fallen in love on this site. I guess I'm being nosey, but was wondering if anyone else is willing to admit that they've fallen in love on here (sorry, hopeless romantic here) :blushing:

that's a great question! I guess it would be easy when we get so emotionally involved in our life-changing journey and others it is bound to happen.

And people can understand your "weirdness" that someone who isn't as into this kind of thing would. Similar interests.

I have met some great people who are now genuine real life friends, have to admit to having a "crush" on a lot of them (talking ladies here so back off Forkdown).
Could it happen, sure but will give you fair warning there are a lot of folks on here that become very upset with the whole notion although it mystifies me why.
It is almost like it corrupts the purity of the site for fitness things but the reason for the chit chat forum is to escape that now and then.

If you get unwanted PMs from guys simply tell them to stop,if it is offensive they need to be reported and blocked.
It is what you make of it and should be great fun in all ways. :flowerforyou:

Seen a lot of it. Some good, some not so good. Certainly, there's a lot of attractions that play out on here and that's kind of fun.

I think it can, and certainly does happen. Shared values and goals are some of the cornerstones of a solid relationship.

However, I think in most cases internet romances are built on nothing but smoke and air. They are illusions, a fantasy created in the minds of the people who participate in them. And, at some point, reality must intrude on that fantasy. Then things get complicated. If it was me, and I was interested in someone, I would make arrangements to meet the object of my desire as soon as possible. There is little point stringing things out if when you meet face to face there is no chemistry and nothing but an embarrassed silence.

I have seen countless internet romances implode, sometimes spectacularly, in my time on forums. Then there's the collateral damage like friends who get caught in the middle and alliances strained. I have seen people's intentions being misconstrued out of all reality.

I think meeting someone on here has the potential to be truly wonderful. Just keep a level head about it is all...

I have fallen for everyone on here. It is so easy to do. Like Nole with her infectious smile, how can you resist that. Etroupe with her caring attitude and natural good looks, get me daily. Keisha with her straight forwardness and spirituality is something to be admired. And let us not forget PP and thenewLK, the sexiness these two put off are irresistable. And heaven knows I am smitten with Skinnywithin. The thing that keeps me grounded is my georgeous wife at home. While I love my MFP friends, they are just that, friends. My wife knows all about them and she enjoy the fact that they keep me honest with my healthy lifestyle. I applaud love in any way, shape, or form it comes in, but even though we are all like minded in healthy living, we are totally different creatures in so many other ways. Now if I was not married, I would be on RCKT82 like flies on shyt...lol. JK folks. That is your laugh for the day.

I was already in love when I joined, BUT I did meet my husband on the forums of a different site, he was in Toronto Canada and I live on the Isle of Wight, a tiny little island off the south coast of England, he moved all the way here to be with me after only actually spending less than a fortnight here in England but talking online and by telephone for over a year....

    Romance is everywhere :flowerforyou:

I have read about some love connections. I think it is great when two single people make a connection.

On the flip side, I have heard about a few members shutting their accounts down because their behavior here caused problems at home. The internet takes away some of the barrierts of "real life." It is easy to get caught up in someone you interact with online.
