Hi my name is Bridgette and I am new to this app but already loving it. I am looking for others with similar goals and age to add as friends. Its awesome and encouraging to see others success.

I have been on here a week and am down 3 lbs just from cutting calories. I'm hoping by my 40th birthday in May i will be down 25 lbs. And my ultimate goal is to be down 40 lbs.

Good luck to you Bridgette!!! Your off too a great start.

I need a bit motivation my self. I have a hard time completing task and seem to have a fear of stepping out and doing things in front of people I don't know.
I signed up at a gym a month ago and get major anxiety when I decide I want to go, and end up talking my self out of going. As of today I have gone 1 time which was today. I didn't stay long but I did go. Would be great to a have a work out buddy even if just online.

That's awesome girls. I'm looking for online buddies for motivation. Been using the app for a month and am losing slowly. Haven't been to the gym but used the treadmill at home couple of times & elastic bands. I suffer from chronic migraines so I can't do it every day. But that's ok. I really want to lose this weight! smiley:

Hi There and welcome. I have been here close to a month and I am addicted. I started my journey on Jan 11th, but first day here was Jan 13th.

I go to the gym a min of 5x a week and I log what I eat. It does work!! I like chatty friends on MFP who are going to comment and be supportive.

    A little more about me:

Hello. I will be turning 43 in a couple days. I have currently been active daily for over 100 days. I try to log in my foods daily. Some days I get behind if I'm with my boyfriend (he lives 2 hours aways). I have a Fitbit in which I motivate myself to move more and more. Currently I am on a 20,000 a day kick. I hope to lose about 40 or 50 pounds. I am always looking for positive, active friends. :)

I am more or less in that boat at the moment.

Motivation is not my issue, health challenges are. If you want to see someone 40+ who moves a LOT, add me!

It might be helpful to get away from the mindset of waiting to find motivation. Instead, schedule your activity and keep the appointment. Habit is much more powerful than motivation.

I'm 43, have 30 lbs to lose. Lost 20 already, but stalled due to lack of motivation. Back on track and ready to shift this weight! Exercising daily and tracking food.
