I made my mother's recipe for her "Cowboy Stew" last night and I ate a bowl of it. The problem is, I have no clue how many exact calories are in it!! :noway: Can anyone help me with this??
The stew only has a few ingredients, most that are pretty good for you and it is YUMMY!!
1 lb of lean hamburger meat; seasoned, cooked, then drained
1 can of corn (drained)
1 can green beans (drained)
1 can tomato sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes (drained)
1 can ranch style beans (drained)
4 potatoes; cut up and boiled
1/2 small onion (boiled with potatoes for taste)
Ok, so that's the recipe!! Nothing else but a little water to combine everything!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!! :flowerforyou:

Add up all the calories for the entire pot, then divide it by the number of portions you got out of the pot, for example if the entire pot is has 4000 calories, but you got 8 servings out of it, it would have 500 per serving, hope that helps0

Spark recipes has a recipe calculator where you enter individual ingredients and it totals the calories then you enter # of servings. Also, in the recipes section there are a couple of sites listed that you can do that on - look for the post about calculating calories in recipes. :flowerforyou:
