Just your typical leg lifts, butt exercises, crunches, reverse crunches...etc.
Do you count them, and if so...how and under what?

Well they would either be under cardio or strength I'm not sure. Yes you do count hem. You can type it in and when nothing comes up you can have the option to add a new exercise and it should be on the bottom/middle right hand side of the page. Also the WORST0

Cardio! Any time dedicated to exercise should be counted as exercise.
Just leave out the daily activities, work, cleaning, laundry, etc...............
Keep it up!0 -
I do and I list them under calisthenics. It comes up on the exercise list:-)0
-
Yep, I agree, you DEFINITELY count it as cardio0
-
Also, I don't list the normal activities I do each day like normal cleaning etc, but if I find myself doing excessive cleaning or moving furniture I do add those calories, especially if it is work that makes me sweat more than I normally do.0

I dont count any exercises. The intensity fluctuates day to day. I stick only to the calorie numbers. People input random pointless exercises just to get MFP to give them extra calories to eat. Make it worst case, you will receive best case.0

I don't eat back the calories I burn. I make sure to stick to the 1200 calories allotted me during the day. That way I'm not tempted to eat more:-) I guess some people add random exercise just so they can eat more but most people are a little more dedicated to their goals:-)0

I do, but if you put them under strength, it won't count toward your calories to eat back, but if you put it under cardio, it does count toward your calories to "eat back". I hope that helps! :happy:0

if you're working out at home, YES they count.
some other site have good burned calorie calculators.
I did a search today for calories burned doing crunches & squats.
The calories burned for squats is: calories burned = your body weight x .096

Article on cals burned for crunches (no calculator in article, but you may be able to figure it out): http://www.livestrong.com/article/297820-the-number-of-calories-burned-doing-crunches/0 -
I count all those exercises under strength training. For me, I use those burned calories as a bit of cushion. I don't have a scale to measure food so until I get one this is my of balancing things out.0

I do the cardio for 45 min for calories but strength for 30 min too and like mswank16 said I don't eat more cause i work out more I stay with my calories for that day or less sometimes I want to be full on my goals of loss weight!!!!!!!!!!0

Um, I have been putting my strength training all under cardio! I don't want to have to input all the sets/reps/weight for each exercise I do so I was putting it all under cardio! I didn't know I wasn't supposed to be doing that....
Never mind...I just re-read.0 -

Dawn, that calulation above...how can you have an accurate calorie burn # if it doesn't include the amt of time you spent doing that activity?0 -
