I am thinking of getting a HRM, but is there a way on this website to just enter the calories burned, like you can quick enter the calories eaten for food? Would I be able to get a good estimate of actual calories burned while working out? I just feel like the calories listed on this website for exercise seem kind of high for me. Thanks...

do you just use the calories burned as listed on the HRM? Can you enter that on the website?

Yea there is.. when you go to enter it in, just enter you're time and then delete what ever calorie count MFP gives you and put in your HRM calories.

If you do decide to get an HRM, I recommend a Polar. They are pretty accurate when it comes to calorie count and very easy to use/set up.

I have the same questions! Are the heart rate monitors without the chest belt as accurate?

No they are not. You need a chest strap in order to get an accurate calorie count. You also need an HRM that lets you input all info(age, sex, weight, height and Vo2Max if it has that feature).

I'll post an article in a minute that will answer all of your questions.
