Hey All...
Pretty new here. Does that time of the month affect weight loss? I just started about ten days ago and am eating sooooo well. Lots of protein and veggies...no desserts at all and I'm just not losing. I thought the first week or so would be easiest and am trying to figure out what it could be. I also drink a lot and I mean a lot of water - nothing else. Anyone have any ideas? Feeling defeated.
Thanks!

Well, it took me about 4 weeks of consistently logging and exercising to see the scare budge at all. Everyone experiences weight loss differently. Some people see a small but steady decline. Personally my weight fluctuates A LOT (within a 10lb range) depending on TOM, what time of day it is, how carb heavy I ate the say before, if I took certain medications, etc. So I only record the lows and make sure I'm making progress on a monthly basis. TOM can definitely make you retain water. It also makes me extremely hungry. But it's nice if you push through it to see that sudden drop when the water weight falls off a few days later.1

I also found being bloated has a huge impact on my overall weight and circumference which happens more during TOM and cravings!!!!0

How are you tracking your food intake? Are you using a food scale to weigh everything you eat?0

How much do you have to lose? If you are fairly close to goal weight, it'll be difficult to lose those last pounds and take a while. I've been consistently eating at a deficit and working out with no scale change for the last month. But my measurements have changed a lot. Just keep on doing the right thing and the changes will come.2

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. I'm going to weigh in a few days and I'll know for sure. I'm weighing and measuring everything and drinking 100 ounces of water a day. I just started so have a lot to lose. Hoping it's just the TOM affecting my weight. I'll let you know how it goes in a few days!0
