I've done Jenny Craig in the past and lost 20kgs! Sadly, binge eating and uni stress helped me gain 10 kgs back over the last year. Tomorrow, my partner and I are starting Jenny Craig again! For him, it will be the first time. If anyone would like to join me in my journey / need support, please add me!

Good luck!! I am doing something similar. I have been on Jenny Craig in the past and it works really well. I had a lot of trouble keeping it off and figuring out how to prepare meals on my own.
This time I am following the same plan using Smart one's meals and Lean Cuisine meals and recording my calories on this app. Down 12 pounds as of today. Started on January 9th.
I'm planning on sticking to this for at least 6 months and then slowly learn how to weigh food and educate myself on proper nutrition. Also, I've begun adding exercise every day. There are lots of great tutorials on YouTube with some quick beginner workouts. It's a great jumpstart to being physical every day.
I'm glad to hear you and your partner are in it together! It helps so much when there's support at home.
I wish both of you the best!!1 -
Thank you! Good luck to you as well! The first time I did Jenny Craig was on my own. And yes, it sucked at times but on the plus side - I was the only one of my friends losing weight! So you can look at it that way! You'll become known as the 'healthy' one which might help keep you motivated. I always got comments like 'I could never do that'. So use that as the power to push through when it's hard!
We went for the weigh in today and all went well. My partner's weight loss will take around 2 years! Which is a relly long time and I hope he doesn't become discouraged. He didn't seem too bothered, though. He's a very simple person who likes routine. Even though he has a lot of weight to lose, the amount of food that Jenny gives him is way more that what he usually eats. I've been nagging him all day today to eat all his snacks! So hopefully that's better than him being starving!
As for me, I'm the type of person who needs to do something all or nothing. Which is a dangerous attitude when you are prone to binge eating. So I'm hoping firstly I can stick on Jenny for long enough to stop craving junk. Hopefully, after that, I can have it occasionally without going crazy and end up binging for days.
Will you be doing weekly weigh- ins? I find weekly helps for me. There was a time when I was getting on the scales ones a day! Not good. I would beat myself up over not losing enough. This would lead to a binge. And if I had lost a lot, I would reward myself with another binge! Screwed up right?0 -
Add me as a friend I joined today !!0
