Really Struggling...

Hiya Everyone.....
Im really not happy, I've been on every diet going, you name it, I've been on it apart from counting calories so started this thinking it would be the one to work. I've had various eating disorders and was always medicated for depression. The last lot of med took me from 10.10 to 13.01.
I lost four pounds at WW but the weigh in was stressful and started to abuse laxatives again :-(

So found Map My walk First then, My Fitness Plan, I was walking about 6 miles a day at a rate of a 20 minute mile and did that for 4/5 days a week but with no weight loss then I added My Fitness Plan and still no weight loss. If anything I've put back on.

Because my eating was so drastic after the loss of my son went all the way to 22 stone, was an out of control diabetic, my liver was struggling and was jaundice when carrying my now 10 year old son. My Dr told me my ill health, mental numbers with my diabetes and basically my eating, recommended a gastric bypass. I had it 5 years ago and lost all my weight, my diabetes cleared up, I could walk again and was no longer taken handfuls of medicine to keep me going....

All was fine but then 5 years later, last year. I had a breakdown and was put on some medication that helped me but gave me a raging appitite and its that weight I'm struggling to lose. I stoped the meds over 6 months ago now.

The gastic bypass worked but I'm anemic in both iron and vit B12. I take all prescription grade vitamins and calcium from the Dr's and have a Vit B12 Jab every 6 months. My blood results are always borderline.....

My question is, what is wrong with my body. Im within my calories allowed. I burn 600 calories + by walking. Could having an internal system all out if whack, hinder weight loss ?
Thankyou..... Hope you can understand all that as I just blurted it out :-/

Good morning! I don't know if this will help you and I'm not sure what you eat on a daily basis but this works for me.
I've had some of the same struggles you have. Now I've never had a gastric bypass but it is something I did look into about 14years ago. I did however make some changes in my life and eating habits which allowed me to lose 73 pounds in 6 months. That was 8 years ago. I have since been through an ugly divorce, meet Mr. Right, remarried, had 2 more beautiful children and guess what! I regained all that weight back and more.
I stared having some health issues last year but of course it didn't really change anything for me until around November when I could barely eat or sleep. I would have dinner with my family, go to bed a few hours later, toss and turn all night and get up 6-8 hours later and throw up literally everything I ate for dinner the night before. This of course started to scare me so I started trying to watch what I ate. I developed some other concerning issues and that's when I got serious.
I've gone back to what I did 8 years ago. It's very simple but it does take some backbone to stick to it. It has to be a mind set! You have to look at yourself in the mirror and tell the person you see that your worth the change. Your worth feeling better!!! And you absolutely can do it!!!!
Here's what my basic diet consists of:
Chicken breast, tuna, salmon, cod, tilapia, turkey breast or tenderloin, lean ham.
    Those are my staple meats!
Vegetables!!!! Always fresh or frozen! Lots of greens veggies Because they are the healthiest. No corn, very few potatoes and No cans as they are full of salt and salt will cause water weight gain.
I use lots of spices when I cook. I'm big on flavor.
I absolutely stay away from butter, sugar, sauces and processed foods!
I eat a good breakfast everyday!
1 whole egg and 1 egg white, one slice of wheat bread w/honey, 2oz. of lean ham and a hot tea or hot chocolate.
I drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday.
Now like I said, for me this was very hard to do at first. I was a super size it! kinda girl. I loved my butter, sauces, cereal, chips and fries. But it has been so worth the change. I now sleep soundly all night long!!!!! I have had no pain in my stomach or acid reflux. And I haven't thrown up since I made the switch. My body feels so much better that I don't want to go back to those habits. I've been back to this life style for About 4 weeks and I've dropped 15 pounds already!
I don't know if any of this helps! Hopefully it does! I wish you well in your quest to become a healthier you.

It's important that you are weighing and measuring everything you eat and drink. Any oils that you use for cooking, for example, must be accounted for. A digital food scale can help you be precise with your logging. Don't trust the portion sizes on the packages--verify them with your food scale at least once. You just started a week ago and sometimes it takes awhile to see results. Give it at least a month.
