I am totally ruled by my mood. I created a workout list on Youtube based on these moods so I can switch up things. For instance, my last bog cardio workout on the elliptical, I had this eclectic, fast-paced mix:

    Bruno Mars - 24k
The Go-Go's - Our Lips are Sealed
    Lindsey Stirling - Roundtable Revival
Queen - Another One Bites the Dust
    Madonna - Ray of Light
Blondie - One Way or Another
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
    Kenny Loggins - Footloose
50 Cent - In Da Club
Rhianna - Don't Stop the Music

While I am an 80's child, I still get into other stuff and the above is just a representation of several playlists. I totally would not be able to get through HIIT without music!

Eminem - Lose Yourself is IMHO the single best workout song on my playlist.

There are other Eminem songs on the playlist along some AC/DC.

Child of the 60s and 70s here...my exercise bike/elliptical playlist has more older stuff:

Rosalita and Born to Run, Springsteen
Apeman, the Kinks (just downloaded that one, it's really from my foggy memory banks)
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), The Proclaimers
How Good's the Coffee and Memphis in the Meantime, John Hiatt
    El Rayo X, David Lindley
    Today, Raul Malo
    Hunter, Pharrell Williams
Don't Look Back, Peter Tosh/Mick Jagger
    Jaded Lover, Jerry Jeff Walker
Lawyers, Guns, and Money, Warren Zevon
Let Your Yeah Be Yeah, The Pioneers
    One Headlight, Wallflowers
    Second Hand News, Fleetwood Mac
    Touch of Gray, Grateful Dead
Monkey Wash, Donkey Rinse, David Lindley & Ry Cooder
I've Just Seen a Face and You Won't See Me, and Getting Better All the Time, the Beatles
    Tipitina, Professor Longhair
    Don't Bring Me Down, ELO
Weather is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful, Jimmy Buffett
Is She Really Going Out with Him, Joe Jackson
    Gimme Three Steps, Lynyrd Skynyrd
Late In the Evening, Paul Simon
Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, The Police
Should I Stay or Should I Go, and Train In Vain, the Clash
You Better You Bet, the Who
Life is a Highway, Tom Cochrane

And probably my all-time favorites, several from a Delbert McClinton Live album:
    Leap of Faith
    Going Back to Louisiana
Giving It Up for Your Love
    Old Weakness
    I Wanna Thank You Baby

I'm so not into recent music (I'm a Luddite....), I'm sure very few folks will even read through that list, but I do love my music and thought I'd share!!!
