Hi everyone. I'm 5'2", 112lbs. Ive been using this app for many years, usually to lose and maintain weight. I had a binge eating problem back then, but I had a baby almost three years ago. I have a healthy love of food, I'm more active and have no issue keeping weight off. Honestly it's become a problem, and I know this. So I decided I wanted to start exercising and gaining muscle but I'm at a loss. The app is telling me to eat almost 2000 calories a day and I'm not sure how to add almost two whole meals of food lmao. I also need some advice on fitness from home. I want to get fit and I have plenty of time to put in. Any tips are appreciated.

You don't want to just do a big addition of calories to your daily intake. Take it slow with a reverse diet. Here's a great video describing this process.

Basically, it's the slow addition of calories into your diet over time. Keep on adding in calories by increments over the weeks until you start to gain weight at ~1-2 lbs/month. If you do this while doing hard resistance work, you'll begin to build muscle. Just don't gain too quickly, or you'll be adding unnecessary body fat.
Hit me up if you have questions that you'd like help with. I'm always happy to help.0 -

I find the HASFIT channel on Youtube very helpful, they have videos for total beginners up to advanced, and they are all free, some of them don't require any equipment but most of the basic strength and cardio you would just need a mat and some light dumbells initially.
I've invested about £150 in a barbell/dumbell set, some heavier dumbells, some kettlebells and some mats and also use a pilates ring and swiss ball that I already had that were gathering dust. on the plus side I've cancelled my £35 a month gym membership as it was doing nothing for me.
